The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, presented this Tuesday the opening of offers and the announcement of the winner of the international auction for the construction of wind farms. 

During her speech, she stated that this competition was launched two years ago, but like any well-realized project, it took its own time. 

Balluku emphasized that Albania will also produce electricity from the wind, and for this the ministry has come to the aid of this project with an analytical study, which contained the suitable locations for the construction of wind farms. 

"We launched this competition on June 15, 2021, that is, 25 months ago. For all those who have followed our entire process in terms of the energy source, this time we have a completely new instrument, the investor, the service provider should also take into account the finding of the land. 

We have studied an analytical study, where it is shown where to build and adapt to the wind. In this way, with this analysis, we have helped all competitors", she said, among other things.
