Albanian Composer Adrian Hila Questioned Over Videos Recorded Inside His Property
Composer Adrian Hila spent around three hours being questioned by police in Tirana over the publication of several videos recorded inside his private premises.
Hila told investigators that the security cameras had been installed in 2022, not to record intimate moments, but to protect the property from potential intruders. He said several thefts had previously occurred in the area and that an item of modest value had also gone missing from his office, prompting him to install cameras both inside and outside the premises.
According to Hila’s testimony and police inspections, the cameras were standard devices and were clearly visible. A camera installed in a bedroom was also found to be equipped with motion sensors.
Asked about the camera’s angle, Hila said it had been positioned by the company that installed the system in order to provide easier access to a power source.
Following his questioning, Hila was released but remains under investigation for alleged unlawful interference with privacy.
Police are also conducting a separate investigation into three other alleged offenses: illegal interception, interference with computer data and misuse of devices.
Based on Hila’s claim that the footage may have been hacked, investigators are working to determine how the videos were obtained and subsequently published online.
Police have also contacted the women identified in the footage. According to authorities, they said they were unaware they were being recorded and have agreed to cooperate with investigators as they seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.
