Albanian Dies in Car Crash in Italy

A 40-year-old Albanian man died in an accident in Italy, while on his way to work. According to the Italian media, he was in the car with a compatriot and colleague when his van collided with a Volkswagen car on regional road 439 in the municipality of Lajatico.

Despite medical help, the 40-year-old Albanian could not survive. Edmondi, who came to Italy from Albania in search of a better life, left behind his wife and two children aged 11 and 6.

Seriously injured, but not life-threatening, are Edmond Zero's friend who was with him in the van and the Pomarance couple, husband and wife, who were travelling in the direction of Pontedera. The municipal police of Peccioli and Lajatico are investigating the causes of the accident.

It remains to be seen which of the two drivers lost control of the car and collided with the other.
