Albanian Teen Crashed to Death on Zebra Crossing in Italy
Kevin Murataj is the 19-year-old Albanian who passed away in Italy at midnight on May 26.
This young man was killed by a car while crossing the road in the area of Lignano Sabbiadoro of Udine.
Italian media reported that the accident happened when the 19-year-old left a pizzeria where he had dinner with his teachers and classmates to celebrate his graduation.
Murataj, with Albanian parents, raised in Foggia and living in Latisana (Udine), was in his last year of high school.
He had spent the evening at a pizzeria with his classmates and teachers and was going to a discotheque at the seaside resort to attend the graduation party.
The young man was urgently transported to the hospital, but the impact was strong and he died on the way.
"Kevin was crossing the road on the zebra crossing, the driver didn't see him and hit him", the 19-year-old's uncle told the Italian media.
On their part, the authorities in Italy are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
