Albanian Youth Stabs Greek Senior Citizen in a Robbery Tentative
A serious incident was reported in Kefalonia, Greece, where a 25-year-old Albanian allegedly stabbed a 73-year-old man 10 times.
According to the police, 25-year-old Klodian Saliaj, who was accompanied by an 18-year-old compatriot, had entered the apartment of the 73-year-old Greek to rob on Wednesday evening in the Kefalonia area.
Two Albanians first broke the glass of the old man's house in Agia Efimia, where the 25-year-old entered the house and the 18-year-old Jordan Bejaj acted as a guard.
When the 73-year-old entered his house, the 25-year-old Albanian attacked him with a knife, hitting him about 10 times in the stomach and shoulder. The two robbers then left.
Victim managed to get out into the street bleeding and call for help.
The 73-year-old was first taken to the Argostoli hospital where he underwent an operation and was then transported by helicopter to the University Hospital of Ioannina.
The two Albanians were arrested yesterday afternoon by the security forces of Argostoli and the Kefalonia Crime Prevention and Suppression Team. They stayed without documents in the Greek state.
Meanwhile, the arrested will be sent to the Criminal Prosecution of Kefalonia.
