American DEA Reacts after 400 Kg of Cocaine Seized in Kosovo

The US Federal Anti-Drug Agency (DEA) reacted to the seizure of 400 kilograms of cocaine in Kosovo, saying that the operation was the result of joint action with police and regional services of several countries.

"The investigation was a joint effort by many multinational agencies aimed at transnational organized crime. The services of "Guardia di Finanza" from Italy, Albanian State Police, SPAK from Albania, Kosovo Police and DEA (offices in Rome and Athens) were included", it is said by a DEA spokesman.

According to the DEA spokesman, cooperation between these services played a key role in this case that led to the identification and seizure of 400 kilograms of cocaine and the arrest of seven people.

The cocaine was seized two days ago in Lipjan, Kosovo, in a container that was coming to Brazil through the port of Durres. For this operation, 7 people from Kosovo were handcuffed, for whom today the Court of Prishtina is expected to give the security measure.
