The Tirana Prosecutor's Office seized Monday assets with a value of about 2 million euros. They are owned by a 47-year-old citizen with the initials A.A., which are suspected to have been established by the criminal activity of her husband, citizen Admir Murataj, who was killed during the money heist at Rinas airport. 

The properties, which include 1 apartment and 2 garages, on the street "Mihal Grameno" in Tirana, 1 apartment in Saranda and a plot of land (trees), in Mjull Bathore, are suspected to have been placed by the illegal criminal activity of Murataj, who is known and otherwise as the mastermind of robberies at Rinas airport. 

In the framework of the criminal proceedings for the identification and seizure of assets derived from criminal activity, referred by the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, the coded police operation "Relative" was carried out. 

Pursuant to this proceeding, the execution of the decision of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance was carried out, for the imposition of preventive sequestration against real estate in charge of citizen A. A. (M), 47 years old, resident in Tirana. 

Pursuant to this decision, real estate was seized, the value of which amounts to about 2 million euros, specifically: 

1 apartment and 2 garages, on "Mihal Grameno" street, Tirana, 1 apartment in Saranda and a plot of land (trees), in Mjull Bathore. 
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the seized assets have their source from the criminal activities carried out by the husband of citizen A. A. (M.), citizen A. M., who was killed during the robbery of a significant amount of money, in Rinas, in 2019 . 

Under the guidance of the Prosecutor's Office, the work is continuing to discover other assets that this citizen or her family members may have registered in the name of other persons," it is stated in the announcement.
