BALFIN Group Expand Partnership into Three EU Markets
BALFIN Group and Flying Tiger Copenhagen are expanding their strategic partnership into Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, marking a new phase in the development of the exciting and innovative Danish retail brand across Central and Southeastern Europe.
The expansion follows the successful development of Flying Tiger Copenhagen in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia, where the partnership will have established a network of 20 stores by the end of 2026. Entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is planned for early 2027. Building on this experience and the strong performance achieved across the existing markets, the two companies have agreed to extend their cooperation to three additional European markets.
Under the new agreement, BALFIN Group and Flying Tiger Copenhagen plan to open 87 stores across Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia over the next five years, with expansion beginning in Romania and Bulgaria in 2027 and Croatia in early2028.
The expansion represents an important step in the growth strategies of both companies. For BALFIN Group, it further strengthens its position as an international investment group with operations across 13 countries, while reinforcing its strategy of building long-term partnerships with leading international brands.
For Flying Tiger Copenhagen, the agreement supports the brand’s continued global expansion and provides a strong platform for expansion across three strategically important EU markets, building on the proven partnership with BALFIN Group.
Samir Mane, President of BALFIN Group, said: “The results achieved with Flying Tiger Copenhagen have demonstrated the strength of our partnership and the potential for further growth. Expanding into Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia takes our cooperation to a new level and brings the brand into three important EU markets. For BALFIN Group, this agreement reflects our commitment to building long-term partnerships and developing successful international brands at an increasingly European scale.”
Julius Schmidt, Managing Director, IMEA, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, said: “Our partnership with BALFIN Group has delivered strong results in the markets where we currently operate together, and expanding into Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia is a natural next step. These are important markets for our European growth strategy, and we see significant potential for the Flying Tiger Copenhagen concept. We look forward to building on what we have achieved together and bringing our unique retail experience to even more customers across the region.”
The expansion will further strengthen the presence of Flying Tiger Copenhagen across the region while creating a broader platform for the two companies to pursue additional growth opportunities in European markets.
