Balla Can't Control Tears Live on TV Learning Fino Died
Socialist Party (SP) head of the parliamentary group, Taulant Balla couldn't control his tears this Monday morning when he learned live on TV that his colleague Bashkim Fino had passed away.
Socialist MP Bashkim Fino, who served as Prime Minister of the National Reconciliation Government died this Monday after failing to win the battle with the dangerous virus Covid-19.
"I am completely touched and I can not find the words to explain a colleague, a former prime minister, a contributor of the Socialist Party, for so many years, one of the most beloved people", said Balla.
Bashkim Fino passed away this morning at the age of 58. He had been affected by COVID-19 for several days and his condition had worsened. His political career in the Socialist Party is early. From 1997 onwards he is a member of the Steering Committee of the Socialist Party. The peak of his career would be marked in 1997 when he would be elected Prime Minister of the country in the government of National Reconciliation, a position he would hold from March to July.
