Tirana Prosecution Seizes Unjustified Assets in Albania Belonging to A.Ll., Convicted in the UK for Drug Trafficking

Tirana Prosecution has seized the assets of citizen Arnaldo Lleshi, convicted in the United Kingdom for the criminal offense of “Production and Sale of Narcotics,” as provided for in Article 283 of the Albanian Criminal Code.

The investigations into the property proceeding no. 04, dated May 22, 2025, revealed that Lleshi was convicted in the UK for the crime of “Production and Sale of Narcotics” as stipulated in Article 283 of the Albanian Criminal Code, and his assets lack legitimate economic justification and are suspected to derive from criminal activity.
Citizen B.Ll. (the father A.Ll) owns a plot of land encompassing approximately 275.2 m² and a two-story building with a basement and attic, registered on March 24, 2021. Meanwhile, his brother runs a private business engaged in vehicle repair, retail trade of used and new parts, as well as import, sale, and purchase of cars.
An analysis of the facts and the documentation related to A.Ll’s movable assets identifies an unjustified economic level, raising suspicion that these assets were acquired due to his criminal activity in drug production and trafficking.
Due to these findings,  Tirana Prosecution sought the seizure of assets registered in the names of people connected to the defendant, including:
•    Real estate registered under number 416/118, comprising 403.1 m² of land and 275.2 m² of building, representing a half (½) ownership share;
•    Two vehicles: an Opel Corsa and a Jeep Grand Cherokee; along with
•    A commercial enterprise operating under the trade name “Auto Lleshi” (tax identification number NUIS L52116150G), engaged in vehicle repair, retail trade of new and used parts, as well as import, sale, and purchase of automobiles.
