Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla has received Saturday the member of the Bundestag and representative of the SPD, Metin Hakverdi, in a meeting at the offices of the Assembly. 

Through a social media statement, Balla declared that the new geopolitical context after the unjustified and unprovoked Russian aggression against Ukraine imposes a closer relationship of the European Union with the countries of the Western Balkans and a drastic acceleration of the membership process. 

During the meeting, Balla also expressed his gratitude to Hakverdi and the German SPD for their support and attention to Albania.

The new geopolitical context after the unjustified and unprovoked Russian aggression against Ukraine impose a closer relationship of the European Union with the countries of the Western Balkans and a drastic acceleration of the accession process. 

We welcome the holding next week of the First Intergovernmental Conference between the EU and Albania and North Macedonia. Many thanks to Mr. Hakverdi and the German SPD for their support and attention to Albania. We will intensify the cooperation between our two parliamentary groups", said Balla on the social networks.
