The Albanian government has decided recently to give financial treatments to all familiars of the employees of the Guard of Republic who die in line of duty. The decision was taken on Wednesday evening, few hours after a police officer was declared 'Martyr of the Motherland' after he was shot dead in the line of duty. 

According to the last decision of the government, relatives will benefits among other things immediate financial support for every family member equivalent of a monthly salary. At the same time, familiars will also benefit a supplementary family pension, at the rate of 100% of the monthly salary of the last calendar month of service, regardless of the insurance period. 

From the other side, children of the fallen will also receive scholarship treatment at school. Also, the Guard treats with priority the application or request for employment. The National Housing Authority will also give a house to the spouse and children of a Republican Guard employee who has lost his or her life on duty or due to duty, when homeless.
