Berisha Creates Opposition's Association of Municipalities
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha gathered on Saturday the elected mayors under the slogan of the "Together We Win" coalition. During the meeting, the Association of Municipalities was established and the new representative bodies of this organization were elected.

Today, on September 16, the Assembly of Local Democratic Electeds took place under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Berisha and with the initiative of 6 democratic mayors, from the local elections of May 14, headed by the Mayor of Kavajë, Fisnik Qosja, the Mayor of Memaliaj, Albert Malaj, the Mayor of Mirdita, Albert Mylyshi, the Mayor of Pukë Mr. Rrok Dodaj, the Mayor of Has Mr. Miftar Dauti and the Mayor of Fushë-Arrëz Mr. Hil Curri.
Assembly of Locally Elected Democrats:
Denounced the electoral farce of the May 14 elections and presented the necessity of a free vote.
It supported and encouraged the Mayors and Councillors of Municipalities in the struggles for strengthening and restoring local autonomy in Albania.
It presented the democratic platform for the protection and deepening of local democracy, decentralization, acceleration of integration, improvement of public services and financing, regional development, review of territorial reform and other local issues.
The Assembly re-established the Association of Municipalities and elected the new representative bodies of the Association of Municipalities of Albania:

– Albert Malaj, Vice/Chairman
– Ilir Alimehmeti, Head of the Chamber of Municipal Councillors
