Berisha Discusses Higher Education Difficulties with Pedagogues
Former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha has organized this Wednesday a conversation with pedagogues regarding the challenges of Higher Education.
During his speech, Berisha considered a 'mafia sponsorship' of the Prime Minister Edi Rama the approval of the so-called "Law on Higher Education", saying that it has done incalculable damage to the country.
He also made accusations to the opposition that according to him did not oppose this law that punished the poor of the country.
"We have been facing the exclusion of young people from university law for decades. This made Albania have the lowest percentage in Europe for university graduations. A great deal of effort was made to break away from this practice. From this effort it was impossible to walk in parallel even with quality. But the truth is that in pre-university education the rise of Albania was one of the most vertical. A series of branches were opened and the programs were enriched.
After the change of power, higher education in Albania was punished in the most anti-national way through the famous law. The Law on Higher Education was a mafia sponsorship of Henri Cili to Edi Rama. He did incalculable damage to the country by corrupting those who accepted the law. Unfortunately, the Albanian opposition did not strongly oppose the law. This law punished the poor of the country. The law became a sword to exclude thousands and thousands of young people from the opportunity to enter universities," said Berisha.
