Berisha Launches New Accusations against PM on Mcgonigal Case

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke this Wednesday at the meeting of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party about the arrest of former FBI official Charles McGonigal and his connections with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Berisha said that 15 of the 16 pages of the indictment for McGonigal are dedicated to Edi Rama. He added that Rama has behaved in the most treacherous way with Albania's strategic partner, the USA.

"In one of the darkest affairs of all time, in an act that exceeds all norms and standards, morality and imagination. De facto, he has used as his asset one of the most important people in the US security system for the definition of the free world, the former head of counterintelligence of the FBI, one of the most trusted people in that land and that country.

In his irresponsible attitude, Edi Rama tries to get out of the way. At a time when the indictment, published by the US Ministry of Justice in its 16 pages, at least 15 are dedicated to Edi Rama, former secret police officer, SHISH collaborator, Agron Nezaj, adviser in the shadow of Edi Rama, Dorian Duçka. Edi Rama has behaved in the most treacherous, unfriendly way towards our main strategic partner.

Charles McGonigal has two main charges. One allegation is that the one charged with overseeing Oleg Vladimirovich, a man close to Vladimir Putin. And what is the most serious act, a prime minister of a NATO member country uses illegal means to bribe this official. What does this affair prove for Albania and Albanians, which is one of the most shocking... This proves that the Albanian mafia is the most dangerous in the free world", declared Berisha.
