Berisha's Spokesperson Responds to Bardhi's Statement
The director of communication of the Re-establishment Commission, Floriana Garo responds to the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party (DP), Gazment Bardhi, who stated that the DP group is the one who will decide if Berisha will be part of it or not.
Garo says that the will of the parliamentary group was ignored and desecrated the day when Sali Berisha was suspended. Garo emphasizes that those who made decisions violating the status quo, without asking the National Council or the group, should not give dignity lessons, but read the will of the Democrats.
"The opinion, attitude and will of the parliamentary group was ignored and desecrated the day when the individual decided to suspend Sali Berisha from the parliamentary group, without asking the parliamentary group or any other institution of the Democratic Party at all!
The mandate of each Democratic Party MP was taken on April 25 by Democratic Party voters. Democrats' belief in Sali Berisha's mandate was confirmed on December 11, December 18 and then on March 6.
Those who made decisions in violation of the statute, without asking the national council and the parliamentary group and turned the DP for the first time in history into a third force, today should not give lessons of dignity but should read the will of Democrats clearly expressed by vote as the only way forward! In a democracy, everyone's opinion is respected but the majority decides," noted Garo.
This Wednesday, former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha confirmed his presence at DP's parliamentary group meeting on Thursday, despite the fact that ex-Leader of DPO, Lulzim Basha expelled him on September 9, 2021 after Berisha was declared non-grata by US. Gazment Bardhi reacted after Berisha's statement this Wednesday, saying that it is the group itself which will decide to accept or not someone declared non-grata at its meetings.
