Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has read the farewell message for the former President of the Republic and his friend Bujar Nishani, at the farewell ceremony. 

While praising Nishani's figure, emphasizing that he will remain an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Berisha could not finish the message with the prayer to rest in peace, bursting into tears. 

"We are here around you to accompany you with great pain and deep sorrow in your journey of no return, in your eternal premature journey to embark on after you have climbed like few others the ladders of life and the highest of duty. But in fact, even though you leave us forever, again as long as we live you will remain alive among us with deeds, nobility, high moral gifts, boundless devotion, great and precious services to Albania and Albanians in their journey to freedom. 

The moral values, virtues, deeds, goodness of man are and his earthly immortality. So Bujar Nishani remains and will always live with us, a loving man, a responsible and patriotic citizen, a loving and exemplary parent and husband, a devoted servant of the citizens of this country, an ardent and courageous democrat, a talented leader of the Democratic Party, noble statesman, capable and dignified president who gave the country of the nation in the direction of special honour and dignity. 

But again after this farewell, each of us feels lessened because we have lost a precious, beloved part of our soul and heart. Yes, today here in front of you we are all less on our own. Odeta feels less today, sadder than ever in her life for the noble husband who left her prematurely. For Ersi, Fjona today is the most painful day of their lives, but they will always be proud that they had the great fortune to have a father like you and grow up, nurtured in the rich garden of the highest human values. 

For all the others of us who had the opportunity to know and cooperate with you, but also for all Albanians who believe in the eternal values ??of human morality, you will remain an inexhaustible source of inspiration and you will forever have gratitude and will always live in our memory. 

I want to express my deep gratitude to your family and all those who did everything to prevent you from leaving this path today. Rest in peace, my dear friend, goodbye!", Said Berisha.
