Berisha Urges Trial of Serbian President in The Hague
Chairman of Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha condemned the genocide in Srebrenica in harsh tones from the Assembly. Berisha stressed that the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic should be tried in The Hague for war crimes.
On the one hand, he welcomed the resolution proposed by the ruling majority in which the Srebrenica genocide is condemned, but on the other hand, he accused them of "protecting" Vucic and Milosevic.
"Genocide as the most heinous, most serious form of crimes against man and humanity brought me here to condemn with the greatest force the Serbian barbarism towards the Bosnian people and the Serbian barbarities in the region. After rejecting a resolution presented by the opposition a month ago, you brought a resolution which I appreciate because it condemns the genocide. But your resolution is a resolution of double minded people. On the one hand, you condemn the genocide, but on the other hand, you deliberately hide the ideologist, the architect of the genocide in Bosnia, Slobodan Milosevic, and Vucic. But how can you do this? In all the media of the world there is a statement in the Parliament but also in Bosnia Vucic vows that for every Serb killed, 100 Muslims will be killed. Vucic has only one place and that is The Hague. You not only dare not seek his trial at the Hague, but do everything to limit it. Why do you do the ostrich? What drives you not to be open and condemn with all your heart and soul the greatest massacre that Europe has known since the Second World War? You refuse to condemn him. You refuse to condemn Vucic, who is filmed declaring that for every Serb killed, 100 Muslims will be killed, just like the Gestapo rule. On the other hand, you talk about Ukraine, but accept in Albania the Serbian executioners who come to you from Belgrade. Do you have a secret tourism deal to accept killers? Therefore, of course, the resolution for the condemnation of the Serbian genocide is necessary," declared Berisha.
