Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has accused that efforts are being made to close the investigations into the incinerator affair, which he called "ridiculous and dangerous". 

Berisha, in a media conference, added that Prime Minister Edi Rama "is most indisputably legally and criminally responsible for this affair". 

"The attempt to close the investigation for the theft of the century is one of the most illegal, ridiculous and dangerous attempts. 

And this, in fact, as you can see, propaganda, but not only propaganda, has the main purpose here. 

The truth is that Rama is most indisputably legally and criminally responsible for this affair," said Berisha. 

The former prime minister also listed 6 facts that prove, according to him, that "Edi Rama is the main legal responsibility of the theft of the century".

"In flagrant violation of the law, he just came to power, to pave the way for the theft affair of the century, he himself signed the declaration of the national environmental emergency and rejected the strategy created together with the EU. It replaced this strategy with that of waste incineration. 

Edi Rama with his firm has approved, contrary to the law, the inclusion of the Elbasan incinerator in the medium-term budget.
