British Embassy Comments Berisha's Public Designation
The Embassy of Great Britain reacted for the first time after the confirmation of the non-grata designation of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Through a statement to the media, the British embassy informs that it has taken actions that prohibit entry into their territory not only for the former prime minister, but also for other persons who are widely associated with crime and corruption.
"The UK has taken preventive actions against some Albanian individuals with documented and widely publicized links to criminality and corruption. We cannot disclose names or numbers of persons for immigration-related actions. It is a longstanding policy of the British Home Office not to comment on the immigration status of individuals," the embassy said.
We remind you that it was former Prime Minister Berisha himself, who announced that he was declared non grata by Great Britain with the claim of connection with organized crime groups.
