The Council of Albanian Ambassadors (CAA) cordially welcomes decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, for the deserved admission of Kosovo to this very important Organization for the preservation and strengthening of democracy and human rights on our continent.

According to CAA, this is the penultimate step towards the full admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe, as we are fully convinced that the Council of Ministers at the meeting in mid-May will vote for the full admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe, based on precisely on the merits and achievements of Kosova in the field of law enforcement and respect for human rights.

"Council of Albanian Ambassadors estimates that yesterday’s positive vote and the statements of the representatives of various countries in favor of Kosova, is one of the most important political and diplomatic achievements of Kosova since the declaration of its independence. The unity of representatives of the parliament of Kosova and the comprehensive coordination of affairs is also a good example that together we can achieve everything.

Council of Albanian Ambassadors highly appreciates the rise of Kosovo’s status in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, where for many years Kosova had the status of an observer member and is now an Associate Member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, a decision which will be formalized by a vote in the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO in the spring session of the Assembly, which will be held on May 27 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors is extremely happy with all the diplomatic achievements and Kosovo’s membership in important international organizations and institutions, but it especially appreciates the intra-Albanian unity and cooperation, both in politics, diplomacy, economy and in every field other part of life" says statement.
