Celibashi Explains for Last Time How to Vote Tomorrow

The head of the State Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, has again brought to attention information on how citizens should vote on Sunday in order for the vote not to be considered invalid.

While explaining how citizens should vote tomorrow, Celibashi recalled that complete information is also placed in the walls of polling stations where citizens can get instruction in order for their vote not to risk invalidation.

"In each polling station, voting will be done with only one ballot paper, where are the names of parties and coalitions, as well as the numbers that correspond to the candidates. In some constituencies, independent candidates are also running.

In order for the vote to be valid, the citizen must vote in one of three ways made public, the voter can only choose the party or coalition with the X or + sign in the white box; can choose the party or coalition and only one of the candidates of that party, which he has chosen, with the sign X or + in the square of the candidate number; the voter can vote for only one candidate, ie make a mark only on one of the numbers, which corresponds to the candidate he prefers, with the sign X or + in the square of the number, without having to place a mark on the square of the party or coalition, to which this candidate belongs.

I emphasize that in the latter case, the vote for the candidate goes as a vote for the political party or coalition. Any other way of voting has a high probability of being considered invalid. Voters will find complete information at the entrance to the polling station, about the candidates and their numbers. Those who will have dilemmas, due to the memory for the number, can get the information on who the candidate belongs to," clarified Celibashi.
