The acting mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani discharged from duty this Friday the vice mayor Sara Goxhaj and the Secretary General, Alban Dokushi.

The decision enters in force this Friday, while Dokushi was replaced by Jonida Halili.

Sara Goxhaj was proposed just a day ago by the mayor Erion Veliaj who is arrested on corruption charges as the acting mayor in his absence. But this decision was changed immediately.

Ristani said that this action has nothing to do with a possible 'war' between Prime Minister, EdI Rama and the arrested mayor Erion Veliaj.

While the last, said that everything was a misunderstanding and Ristani will be in charge while he is in jail.
