Clinton Calls for Immediate Solution to Conflict in North Kosovo

Former US president, Bill Clinton, spoke about the situation in Kosovo and the tensions in the north of the country.

Clinton said that he did not want to see these disputes, so he called for an immediate stop to "this nonsense".

He said that people need decent governance, which should take care of the citizens' welfare. In this context, the former head of the White House said that instead of domination, cooperation is needed for the benefit of society.

"There is a dispute that is happening in Kosovo, which I wish would never happen. The Kosovars created those four cities, in favor of the Serbs, to give them four more mayors. So I think they made a mistake. The thing we can do is: Stop this nonsense. What major political issue can be advanced, having tension? There are people there. They need to have a decent government. Citizens need you to tell them that there is a need to vote, always. If you think about these four towns, far from any scientific laboratory, where the divisive behavior that is driving the world today is modeled, because many countries prefer dominance instead of cooperation. I hope that Albania will be able to first show the world what a comprehensive future looks like," he said.
