Cocaine Dealer Detained in Ksamil

A 54-year-old man who was suspected of dealing cocaine and cannabis in the Ksamil area has been put in handcuffs this Monday and will be investigated for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics". 

During the search of his apartment, 27 doses of suspected narcotics cocaine and cannabis, 3 electronic scales for dividing narcotics into doses, 3 mobile phones, as well as 13,400 new ALL, 530 EUR, 140 USD and 60 GBP that are suspected to have benefited from criminal activity were found. 

Meanwhile, a 33-year-old woman is also under investigation for not reporting the crime, as according to the police, she was aware of this criminal activity, but did not report the case. 

However, several cases of narcotics distribution have been struck during this summer season on the coast and tourist towns. 

This month, a 20-year-old man was arrested after distributing doses of cocaine and cannabis, mainly in nightclubs in Himare. 

Foreign citizens have also been arrested as drug dealers. During June, five foreigners were handcuffed in Dhërmi for transporting hard drugs to vacationers. 

Nationals from Italy, Spain, Brazil and Argentina had come as tourists to the coastal area. 

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that in cooperation with each other, they distributed narcotics in doses, mainly to other tourists, in night clubs and in various entertainment activities that take place on the coast, during the tourist season.
