Covid in Albania, More Children Return to Classroom

High school students can be back to school. The Technical Committee of Experts has decided on Wednesday to allow high school students to return in auditoriums as plan of the lockdown easing.

They will have to wear masks and observe distancing rules in classrooms.

Vice Minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli, said that this will be the only change of restrictions as everything else will remain the same.

Albania reported a decrease in the number of new infections recently, where new infections ranked between 290-400.

The other restrictions will remain in force for at least two weeks. There will be a daily curfew from 8:00pm to 6:00am. Bars, restaurants, fast food, and other similar activities are prohibited from operating between 8:00pm and 6:00am, except for delivery services. Public movement is restricted during these hours except for work reasons, health care emergencies, or urgent needs. The e-Albania portal must be used for special permission to move during this time.

Same situation in air traffic as Ministry of Health will continue to let in force suspension of all direct civilian air traffic to and from Great Britain until further notice. There is a mandatory 14-day quarantine (self-isolate) for all travelers who enter Albania by air, land, or sea who initiated their travel from Great Britain.
