Democrat Recalls Ed. Minister’s Plagiarism Allegations in Parliament

MP of the Democratic Party (DP), Ina Zhupa has held Thursday an interpellation with the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Evis Kushi, during which she reminded the latter of being one of the accused for plagiarism.

In her speech, the Democrat underlined that the control of all academic titles in the universities of our country should have already been completed.

"The people of Dibra say that the rope is not mentioned in the house of the hanged. You yourself are one of the accused of plagiarism. The anti-plagiarism check and the review of academic titles should have been completed by now. In these three years you should have done the anti-plagiarism check for the pedagogues in the first place.

The new law on scientific research should have been adopted. The digital archive of doctorates should have been created. You promised that in 2019 the quality code. At the moment when the curriculum moves in one direction and the library moves in another direction, I do not know what are the duties of your ministry", said Zhupa.

On the other hand, the Minister said that during the rule of the Democratic Party, education was in the darkest period.

"A large part of these ministers have dawned on the night of the earthquake and continue to live with trauma. This should be a priority for us to continue working. It seems to me irresponsible to say do not mention these to us anymore because you are tired.

If you have experienced those days like other Albanians, you should not forget them. In the first part of the interpellation I stood strictly on reporting on what we have done. You will be remembered as the government that brought the darkest period of education in Albania", declared Kushi.
