Deputy PM Visits Israel, Focus on Cyber Security

The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, as well as deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku, has made an official visit to Israel. During the meeting with the Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, she emphasized that she discussed important issues for both countries.

Balluku emphasizes the discussion of the intergovernmental agreement that they plan to sign in the future. The minister also informs that Israel has decided to support Albania on cyber security, one of the most important issues that came to the surface during 2022.

"During the official visit to Jerusalem and the meeting with the Foreign Minister, Cohen discussed a number of important issues for our two countries, which have long been connected in history. We discussed the intergovernmental agreement that we plan to sign in the future, which will include all the cooperation we have with each other. We also discussed the support that Israel has decided to give to Albania for cyber security, one of the most important issues that came to the surface during 2022.

Having an important partner, who has experience in this field, it will be much easier for us to face this challenge. But we did not leave without discussing trade issues. Albania and Israel have all the opportunities to develop in the future an even more important market between the two countries for exports and imports.

But also what is important is the discussion between Israel and Albania to have a direct line which will help with tourism development and exchange between the two countries," Balluku said.
