Diplomat Declared Non-Grata, Russian Embassy Reacts

Russian Embassy in Albania has reacted this Friday after the news that the Russian diplomat, Alexei Krivoshev, was declared "Persona Non-Grata", arguing that he had violated the anti-Covid measures.

In a post on "Facebook", the Russian Embassy states that they are surprised by the content of the statement of the Albanian Foreign Ministry on declaring the diplomat "non grata", because according to them, there was no evidence of a violation of anti-Covid measures.

"Contrary to the statements of the Ministry, the name of Alexei Krivoshev was never mentioned during the contacts between the Russian embassy and the Foreign Ministry of Albania. For the first and last time, it appeared in the minutes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania, dated 20.01.2021, according to which Mr. Krivoshev was declared a "non grata" person. At the same time, there was no evidence of violations of anti-Covid measures made in Albania," Russian Embassy declared.
