Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) Lulzim Basha has wished a speedy recovery to all citizens injured by the Aegean Sea earthquake while saying that his prayers are with the ones who lost their lives this Friday.

The Opposition Leader Basha writes that he is following with great concern the shocking news from Turkey and encourages and shows solidarity with the people and authorities of Turkey.

“I am saddened about the loss of life in today’s devastating earthquake in Turkey and Greece. My thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives and with their families. I wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. Albania stands in full solidarity with our two neighbors and allies”, tweeted Basha.

At noon, a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck near the Island of Samosa and 6.6 magnitude earthquake occurred off the Aegean Sea Seferihisar, causing victims, injured and material damages.
