Democrats against 'Basha' Ready to Proceed with the National Assembly

Democratic Party MP, Flamur Noka and former MP Gent Strazimiri said this Thursday outside of the blue headquarters that the collection of the signatures to call the meeting of the National Assembly is complete.

They said that this procedure is not provided by the party's statute, but they did it for transparency. Noka said that the signatures of the delegates will not be handed over to either the DP chairman Lulzim Basha or the General Secretary Gazment Bardhi.

"There is no democrat in Albania today who does not know who is the hostage and who has served Rama for 8 years. There are no democrats who know who burned and destroyed all the causes of the Democrats and the Democratic Party in these 8 years and for whose interests he burned them. So all this clearly presents Basha in the eyes of the Democrats as a hostage chairman.

These show that no more 19, but the government has 20 ministers, so there is a minister of extinction of the opposition, named Lulzim Basha and paid by the government of Edi Rama.

Under this panic he tries to attack in order to defend himself but is a minority. The delegates have expressed their will, last night 4200 signatures were submitted, today another 150 are gathered and you can be sure that the figure will exceed the 5000. The Assembly convenes itself and the statute provides for it, do not expect that in a democracy the majority will be bowed to the minority, the minority must be subject to the will of the majority", said Flamur Noka.

"We have presented to the DP and its institutions the number of signatures that have been collected by the delegates. Was this a statutory obligation? No we did it for the sake of transparency.

Whoever has the desire and curiosity to go and see them at the office of the chairman of the national council of the Democratic Party, anyone in this building who has curiosity or distrust is only 20 steps away. Verification is done only by the Assembly through the mandate verification commission.

Any other interpretation of the DP statute is the effect of an embarrassing panic and sometimes goes to impermissible expressions in rhetoric that should not happen within the DP", said Strazimiri.
