Durrës police have detained this Wednesday a 24-year-old man declared nationally wanted.

The detainee is the young Eralind Pirraçi, resident in Durrës, after the Court of First Instance in Korça sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in prison for the criminal offense "Assistance in illegal border crossing".

“In the framework of the police operation codenamed "Qafë Plloça", finalized by the Local Police Directorate of Korça on 03.03.2020, the services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, following the work to apprehend wanted people and bring them to criminal responsibility, detained the citizen Eralind Pirraçi, 24 years old, resident in Durrës, after the Court of First Instance in Korça sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in prison for the criminal offense "Assistance in illegal border crossing".

This citizen, on 03.03.2020, in cooperation with 3 other citizens (arrested within this operation), were caught transporting with a vehicle type "Volkswagen" and a vehicle type "Benz", 8 illegal immigrants, in the direction of Tirana, for a profit of 300-350 euros, in order to move to EU countries.

Citizen Eralind Pirraçi was handed over to the Local Police Directorate of Korça, for further actions.
