Residents of a collapsed building in Durrës have held a protest in front of the Municipality. The residents demand that their apartment building be constructed in the place where it was before. 

The Municipality plans to build a memorial to honor the victims of the Novemeber 26 earthquake in the place where the apartment building was situated, but the residents of this apartment building - no. 1032 neighborhood 6, Durrës- do not agree with this decision and ask everyone not to occupy the square, as they claim that it is private property. 

The protesters have clarified that if this issue is not resolved, the case will be taken to court, as they suspect that the square will later be used for construction by the preferential firms of the Municipality. Meanwhile, the Municipality of Durrës has sent a letter to the residents, stating that they will be housed in the collective apartments that will be built in Durrës.
