Embassy Opens Exhibition 'Journey to Japan – To Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Friendship between Albania and Japan'

On February 10, the Embassy of Japan in Albania hosted the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Journey to Japan - To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Friendship between Albania and Japan” at the Gallery of Art in Tirana (GAT).

This exhibition is organized by the Embassy, in collaboration with the Japanese company Fuji Film Albania and GAT Gallery of Tirana Municipality. It displays a selection of photos of Japan’s four seasons, modern and traditional architecture and lifestyle.  The exhibition will be open for the visitors from 10th of February to 22nd of February 2022, 10:00 – 18:00 at GAT Gallery in Tirana.

Deputy Minister of Culture, H.E. Ms. Meri Kumbe, and two Deputy Mayors of Tirana, Ms. Anuela Ristani and Ms. Keti Luarasi attended the opening ceremony and thanked the Ambassador for dedicating this exhibition to the special occasion of 100 years of Friendship between the two countries. They expressed their institution’s wish and readiness to collaborate with the Embassy for future cultural events.

In his opening remark, Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. TAKADA Mitsuyuki wished that through this exhibition, visitors would be able to get in touch with the Japan’s nature, culture and architecture. He further spoke of the growing collaboration between both countries not only in the diplomatic and economic aspects but also in culture and sport adding that this year marks the 5th anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of Japan in Albania.

The photo exhibition “Journey to Japan” will be on display in different cities across Albania in the following months.
