Dozens of EULEX officers surrounded the house of former Kosovo Parliament Speaker, Jakup Krasniqi this morning, at 06.00. 

The reasons for the landing of EULEX police units at Krasniqi's house in Prishtina are still unknown.

The former speaker himself did not speak to the Kosovo media, neither EULEX provided details nor KLA veterans. The suspicions are that Krasniqi may be arrested, Kosovar media report. 

Jakup Kraniqi is one of the main figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). He also held senior positions during the war as its spokesperson. Krasniqi held high positions even after the war, as Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo and Minister. 

Krasniqi currently holds the position of Chairman of the National Council of the Social Democratic Initiative.
