The new mayor of the municipality of Mirdita, Albert Melyshi, the winning candidate in the local elections of May 14, has received the office, which was symbolically handed over to him by the former mayor Ndrec Dedaj. 

The latter says that he took the municipality with debts and is leaving it with projects in development. Wishing good work to the new mayor, Dedaj said that he must do the best for the city. 

"Today I handed over the task to the new mayor of the Mirdita Municipality, Albert Melyshi, through a symbolic act described as follows: 

Eight years ago, the citizens trusted me to run the Mirdita Municipality. I did everything I could with all the power of my mind and heart to return your faith to material, social-cultural and spiritual goods.

I found the Municipality with ALL 100 million debts, without tools, without a material basis for maintenance, not even a pavement tile or a light bulb to replace, and today I am handing you the institution of the Municipality with zero debts with tools to perform the service of maintenance, cleaning, greening, lighting, etc.", he said among others.
