A deadly shooting and apparent abduction shook the village of Vidhishtë in the Municipality of Roskovec early Friday morning, according to preliminary information from local authorities.

Police say a 35-year-old man, identified as Nertil Buzi, went to the home of his former fiancée, where he allegedly opened fire on members of her family. The woman's father, 55-year-old Arben Plaka, was killed in the attack, while her mother sustained injuries and was taken for medical treatment.

Authorities say the suspect then forcibly took his former fiancée and fled the scene. A police search operation is underway to locate the suspect and the woman.

According to preliminary reports, the woman had allegedly been subjected to repeated threats by the suspect over an extended period. She was studying medicine in Tirana, where, according to local sources, the suspect had reportedly confronted and threatened her on multiple occasions. He had previously been detained and arrested by police in connection with those incidents, but the dispute between the two allegedly continued.

Investigators say the attack occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. local time, when the suspect allegedly entered the Plaka family home, fatally shot Arben Plaka, wounded his wife, and then abducted his former fiancée before escaping.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the suspect's whereabouts or the condition of the abducted woman.
