A 8-year-old boy was abducted and then killed by a neighbor this Tuesday morning in Grecalli village of Fier, police confirmed. The perpetrator is a 38-year-old man, Klodian Calamani, who abducted the minor this morning and killed him.

So far, police said that he kidnapped the minor and locked him in his apartment at 09:00 am, while family denounced the absence of the minor to police at 15:30 pm as the child did not turned back home.

"Upon receiving the notification, the services of the Fier Police Commissariat have made the 'wanted' announcement and immediately from the field operations, maximally assessing the situation and its importance, have received information, have worked in the collection and administration of evidence and have made possible finding the suspected location where the missing child might have been. 

On the basis of the evaluation of the evidence, in the apartment of the citizen K. Ç., 38 years old, after the control, it became possible to find the body of the suspected missing child, covered with mud. 

The suspected perpetrator was immediately apprehended and escorted to the Fier Police Commissariat and under the direction of the Fier Judicial District Prosecutor's Office, efforts are being made to carry out full procedural actions, to clarify the circumstances of the event and its motives," informed police.

It is still unclear why Calamani killed the minor as other neighbors confessed that he was a drug user.
