FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, has sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Albanian Football Association (AFA), Armando Duka, for the death of the Albanian football legend, Ramazan Rragami.

In his message, President Infantino emphasizes that words are insufficient to express sadness for this loss while adding that Rragami's legacy and contribution inside and outside the football field will not be forgotten.

The letter

"Dear President,

I would like to express my most sincere and heartfelt condolences for the death of the former football player and former coach of the national team, Ramazan Rragami. Words are not enough to express the sadness we feel for this loss.

During his career, Rragami played regularly with the Albanian National Team in the years 1965-1973. At the club level, he will be remembered for his successful career with KF Vllaznia, where he won two champion titles, as well as with FK Partizani and KF Skënderbeu Korça.

After retiring from football, he coached the Albanian U-21 National Team, as well as KF Vllaznia, where he won another champion title. A legend of KF Vllaznia and Albanian football, his legacy and contribution inside and outside the field will not be forgotten and we will miss him.

On behalf of the international football community, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the Football Federation of Albania and to the family, friends and relatives of Ramadan. Our thoughts at the moment are with all of you.

We hope that these memories and our words can bring you a little peace and comfort in these difficult moments for you.

Yours sincerely,

Gianni Infantino ”
