Fires Caused Italian Airport's Track to Cease Operations

A fire near Olbia airport has caused the temporary closure of the "Costa Smeralda" runway.

Flames have engulfed the village near the river Enas, along the southern line of landing planes, with the flames spreading rapidly due to the strong wind, Italian media reports.

Meanwhile, a national civil defense Canadair, two regional fleet helicopters and several crews went on the ground working to bring the blaze under control.
