Five Judges Running for Two HJC Vacancies

High Court has published the list of judges competing for vacant seats in the High Judicial Council (HJC).

So far, there are 5 judges who have expressed interest in joining the Supreme Judicial Council.

The five interested judges are:

-Emona Muçi – Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana

- Irida Kacerja - Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction Tirana

- Alma Kodraliu - Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Tirana

- Gentjana Muçaj - Administrative Court of First Instance Tirana

- Markelian Koça - Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës

"List of judges who have expressed interest and submitted the required documentation for candidates to the Supreme Judicial Council

After the end of the deadline for submission of expressions of interest for candidates to the Supreme Judicial Council, announced by the Supreme Court on 24.07.2023, for the election of two judges from the ranks of the judges of the first instance court and one judge from the ranks of the appeal judges, based on Law 115/2016 "On the governing bodies of the justice system", until 04.09.2023, the following judges have expressed interest and submitted the required documentation:

- Emona Muçi - Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana

- Irida Kacerja - Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction Tirana

- Alma Kodraliu - Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Tirana

- Gentjana Muçaj - Administrative Court of First Instance Tirana

- Markelian Koça - Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës

The administration of the Supreme Court, within 7 days from the closing date for the submission of the request and the relevant documentation, will continue with the process of verifying the fulfillment of the legal conditions of the candidates and immediately after that will announce the official candidates.
