Foreign Minister Launches Initiative in Cooperation with Kosovo Govt

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, in the presence of the members of the cabinets of the two governments, launched the first edition of the competition "Colours of Albanians".

Minister Xhaçka stressed that this initiative is a very good opportunity to show the true colours of Albanians, to convey a common image around the world.

"Albania is today on the verge of opening negotiations, while it will soon sit in the UN Security Council. Albania's role and weight in the region today is more significant than ever, and more than ever Albanians are seen today as a factor of stability and as a guarantee for the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the region. These achievements of Albania are undoubtedly a very positive development for Kosovo. "Because a stronger and more respected Albania is an Albania that can do even more for Kosovo", said the minister during her speech.

Among other things, Minister Gërvalla added that "Colours of Albanians" is an open initiative for Kosovo, for all Albanians who surround the two countries, as well as for those who come from the diaspora.

The competition "Colours of Albanians" is organized for the first time by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo.

Anyone who will be part of this competition just throws a photo or video from everyday life, from a trip, from an experience in Albania or Kosovo on their Instagram profile, using the hashtag #ColoursofAlbanians.

The winning photos will be part of a final publication which will then be distributed worldwide, through the network of representations of the two countries.
