Former Deputy PM Appeals Seizure of Villa in Palasë

The lawyers of the former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj, Ardian Vishaj, Henrik Ligori and his ex-wife have appealed to the High Court regarding the sequestration of the villa in Palasa.

Together with Ahmetaj's lawyers, the lawyer of the Swiss citizen who owns the property in Palasa has also been attached to the request.

It is about order number 62 of the Special Court of Appeal and decision number 137 of the Special Court of First Instance.

The lawyers call it unfair to seize a property that is not owned by Ahmetaj or his ex-wife, who claims that she only had it for use.

Earlier, the High Court overturned the appeal of lifting the sequestration of the villa in Hamallaj, which is in the name of Ahmetaj's cohabitant, Erjola Hoxhaj.

Last Thursday, Ahmetaj was questioned for 6 hours by the prosecutor Enkleda Millonaj and National Bureau agents regarding the launched investigations.
