Former Italian Prime Minister Visits Gjader Camp
Senator and former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi visited the camp in Gjadra today. He said that it would be more appropriate for these centers to be converted into prisons so that Albanians convicted in Italy can be closer to their relatives.
According to Renzi, the creation of the camps was Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's propaganda and not reality, as it has not worked to reduce the number of migrants. He added that Italy has lost around 1 billion euros in investments for the Gjadri and Shëngjin camps that could have been used for pensions and salary increases, EuronewsAlbania reports.
