Former Prison Director Sentenced to Prison

Former director of prison 313 'Jordan Misja', Eduart Struga, is sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison.

The Special Court of Appeals Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has sentenced the former director with a final decision, while the decision for the other two defendants has not changed; the head of the logic department Florjan Ahmetaj, who was sentenced to 4 years in prison on corruption charges, and businessman Ervin Kurtulla to 3 years in prison for being involved in a corruption scheme.

Eduart Struga along with 2 other people were arrested in 2020 as involved in a corruption scheme with food tenders in prison 313. Only 6 months in office, Struga was arrested by decision of the Ministry of Justice.
