Former Member of Parliament of the Socialist Party (SP), Edlira Haxhiymeri has passed away this Saturday. 

This information was announced by her son, Endrit Yzeiraj, on her Facebook page. 

On the social networks, Haxhiymeri's son stressed that the former Socialist MP had been facing for 5 years a serious illness,due to which she died. 

"Dear family and friends, I am very sad to announce that my dear mother, Edlira Haxhiymeri, has passed away. 

Thank you for the help and support you have given us during more than 5 extremely difficult years where we fought with every means and way to defeat her disease. 

The last happiness for our beloved Eda is tomorrow in Tufina cemetery", said the son of the former SP deputy.
