Gazment Bardhi Reacts after Mandates' Meeting Postponed
Head of Democratic Party (DP) Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has accused ruling majority of trying to protect Arben Ahmetaj.
This reaction came after the Council of Mandates meeting, where it was decided to postponed the meeting for Wednesday at 16:00.
"The meeting began with a request from the opposition to be open, it is true that it was SPAK's suggestion that it be held behind closed doors in order to preserve investigative secrecy. It was supposed to be the Council that decided, but arbitrarily the majority made the decision. Discussions from SPAK, no additional information other than what has been published in the media. To give Ahmetaj time, as it was confirmed by the lawyers that he was abroad. They knew that he had not escaped, but in the meantime they did not know when he had fled and where he was. This is help that the majority is giving to Ahmetaj to hide from justice", said Bardhi.
The head of SPAK Altin Dumani and then the prosecutor Enkeleda Millonai presented to the Council all the facts through which they think that Ahmetaj should be arrested.
