General Police Director Receives New OSCE Ambassador

The head of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, held a meeting this Friday with the representatives of the OSCE in Tirana and with the new ambassador Guido de Sanctis. 

Rrumbullaku congratulated the ambassador on the task and through him, expressed his gratitude to the OSCE representatives in Albania, for the contribution given to the State Police employees, through training and logistical assistance, for aspects such as: illegal traffic, border crimes and cyber crime. 

"The Director General of the State Police, Major Muhamet Rrumbullaku, received the new OSCE ambassador to Albania, Guido de Sanctis, this morning, in the premises of the General Directorate of the State Police. 

This meeting, held in a friendly and highly professional atmosphere, evaluated the cooperation so far between the State Police and the OSCE, as well as laid the essential foundations on the common objectives of the future. 

The General Director of the State Police congratulated the ambassador on his assignment and through him, expressed his gratitude to the OSCE representatives in Albania, for the contribution given to the State Police employees, through training and logistical assistance, for aspects such as: traffic illegal, border crimes and cybercrime. 

The meeting emphasized 2 important elements for the functioning of the rule of law during the specific period of this year's municipal elections, which is the role of State Police employees in the smooth running of this process, as well as the technical assistance that will be provided by OSCE, in order for the functional duties of the Police officers, in this field, to be fulfilled with full efficiency and legality. 

The OSCE ambassador in Albania expressed his full readiness to cooperate with the State Police, in order to fulfil the European standards of the rule of law, the organization of elections in the country and the respect of human rights and freedoms," it is said in the announcement.
