Govt Accused of Handling Pandemic in Wrong Way
The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) accused the government on Wednesday of taking the wrong measures to contain the spread of Covid-19.
SMI Vice Chair Petrit Vasili said in an interview that the measures are eased when the number of cases decreases and are tightened when there is an increase in cases, but in Albania the opposite happens.
“You have heard the new restrictive measures, but those who announced them did not declare any arguments to justify them.
They should have said that for 1, 2, 3, 4 reasons, due the deterioration of the situation, because these new trends have been noticed, we will have an even earlier curfewâ€, he said.
According to Vasili, closure creates a psychological stress and does not prevent the spread of Covid-19:
"This creates a psychological stress; does not control the pandemic; it creates tremendous economic damage upon thousands of closed businesses.â€
