Granit Xhaka, Xherdan Shaqiri to Face Belarus in Belgrade

After being eliminated twice from the World Cup, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri will travel to Serbia on March 25, but not to face the local representative.

UEFA has decided that the valid match for the Euro 2024 qualifiers between Belarus and Switzerland will take place at the Novi Sad stadium in Serbia, due to the unstable situation in Minsk, a neighboring country of Russia and Ukraine, which have been at war for almost a year.

Shaqiri and Xhaka were the headlines and protagonists a few days ago in the Switzerland-Serbia match, while there were also tense clashes with the Serbian footballers, so they will not be welcomed in Novi Sad.

In addition to Belarus, Switzerland also has Kosovo, Romania, Israel and Andorra in Group I.
